Alyssia Eckrich Obituary

Alyssia Jade Eckrich

It is with our deepest sympathy and sorrow that we announce the passing of Alyssia Jade Eckrich, a cherished soul who graced this world on March 22, 2000, in Cortland, New York. Her journey on earth came to an unexpected close on February 22, 2024, at the young age of twenty-three.

Alyssia leaves behind a legacy of love and joy in her son, Kyrie Ellis, who was the light of her life and her most precious gift. She cherished the time she had with him and was proud to be his Mom. She is survived by her loving grandmother, Darlene Eckrich; her devoted mother, April Eckrich; her loving father, Felipe Rodriguez; and her dear siblings, Ashley, Stephen, Adrianna, Zachary, and Juliana Rodriguez. Alyssia will be fondly remembered by her nephews, Jeovanni and Jasai Rodriguez, as well as a host of caring cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family members. She is predeceased by her brother Nicholas Rodriguez, her grandfather Gerald Eckrich, and her uncle William Rodriguez.

Known for her compassionate spirit and kind heart, Alyssia touched the lives of many through her work in retail and food service, where she was appreciated by colleagues and customers alike for her warm smile and helpful nature. Her artistic soul expressed itself through her love of tattoo art, a testament to her creative and expressive personality.

Music, travel, and the company of friends and family brought great happiness to Alyssia's life. She will be remembered as a loving mother, a caring daughter, a protective sister, and a faithful friend. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her to cherish each moment and live with kindness and grace.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held to honor Alyssia's memory. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to support her son Kyrie through the memorial fund established at https://gofund.me/328bcb14. Funeral arrangements are being thoughtfully handled by the family in Greensboro, NC.

Alyssia's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain with us always. May she rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
