Betty Miller, affectionately known to many as “Betty Boo”, concluded her earthly journey on April 6th, 2025, at the age of 57, in Greensboro, North Carolina. While born in Whiteville, NC, she spent her formative years in Tabor City, NC before establishing her enduring roots in Greensboro, NC. There, she built a life rich in connection and creativity, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and authenticity.
Betty now joins her parents, Rachel Harrison Miller and Graham Matthew Miller, as well as her siblings Peggy Ann Miller & Jimmy Wade Miller who preceded her in passing. She is survived by her 3 sisters, Linda Miller Johnson (husband John) of Chadbourn, NC, Marie Miller Lilly of Fayetteville, NC, Irene Miller Parrot (husband Nate) of Tabor City, NC, as well as her oldest brother Tommy Lowell Harrison of Poughkeepsie, NY.
If you knew Betty, you knew how proudly she loved and rooted for all of her 3 loving children: Michael Travis Keel of Reidsville, NC, Terica Janique Keel of Greensboro, NC, and Courtney Ricquel Miller of Atlanta, GA, as well as her 4 cherished grandsons: Shamare, Jaylen, Jahmir, and Emari.
A woman of inherent artistic talent, Betty found joy in drawing, coloring, and writing. Her deep passion for music was a defining characteristic, as she thoughtfully curated music playlist and filled surrounding spaces with her favorite songs, sharing this love with family and friends. Her nurturing spirit was also extended through cooking. She generously prepared meals, ensuring no one in her presence went without if she could help it.
Beyond her immediate family, Betty was a cherished aunt, a dear niece, a beloved cousin, and a loyal friend to many. Like the lions she so admired, she possessed a fierce protectiveness, a nurturing nature, and a courageous heart – a true Leo in every sense.
Betty’s unwavering honesty and genuine spirit were among her most admired qualities. She approached life with directness and a profound sense of love, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her vibrant presence. Her spirit, marked by love, authenticity, and an unforgettable realness, will forever remain a part of those she leaves behind.
