Cedrick R. Waddell was born on January 30, 1990. He entered eternal life on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Cedrick was educated and attended Guilford County Schools. He graduated from Grimsley High School. While being a Whirlie, he performed in the marching band and was a proud band member of the Blue Steel Drumline”. He then, continued his studies at GTCC in engineering. He played basketball as a youth and loved the Carolina Tarheels. Cedrick worked throughout Guilford County and North Carolina doing stage production, setting up for numerous concerts and events, he previously was a security guard at A&T State University, worked in janitorial for the Budd Group and was currently designing his own clothing label. He was actively engaged in the community doing volunteer work throughout the Greensboro area. Cedrick’s life was a testament to love, resilience and the bond of family. He was known for his hard work, passion for helping others, and his positive attitude and energy that he brought always with a smile. A humble, kind-hearted young man with a heart of gold. If you were privileged to meet him you didn’t become his friend, you became his family. Cedrick loved his Uncle Scott, whom he looked up to and was his hero. Nothing could compare to the bond they shared. He loved spending time with Chuck, who was always there and a big part of his life. He had a great love for all his special friends who remained dear to his heart. He also loved cooking, experiencing new foods, clothes and shoes always making a fashion statement and his dog, Bruno. But his greatest love was the strong bond that he shared with his mother who was a cornerstone of his life and his faith in God. Cedrick left an everlasting impact on the hearts of those who had the honor to be a part of his life. He left a rich legacy of love, kindness, courage, compassion, joy, and faith that will be cherished and live on forever. Cedrick will forever be missed but never forgotten. The trail of footprints he left behind will continue to inspire us all. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris J. Waddell, aunt and uncle, Virginia and Cletus Harrison and aunt, Kaye Waddell. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and faithful mother, E. Michelle Waddell; dad, Chuck McDougald; uncles, Scott Waddell and Leverne “Ronnie Waddell; great uncle, Bobby Waddell; great aunt, Beverly Waddell; father, Sean Veasley; paternal grandmother, Betty Veasley; siblings, Karmyn Veasley, Kyle Veasley, and Sean Veasley, Jr; and a host of relatives and close friends, who will always remember his warm spirit and generous heart.
