Johnnie Mae Newman,75, departed this life on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Ashton Health and Rehabilitation.

She was the daughter of the late John L. Newman and Vermil Newman. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined the Pilgrim Baptist Church,

and later joined Outreach Missionary Baptist Church under watch care. She attended Love Fellowship Believers Church until her health began to fail.

She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Newman and her sister Lois Anderson. Johnnie Mae loved to travel especially going on cruises. 

She enjoyed family celebrations especially family reunions.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, MeiMei Michelle Newman of Greensboro, NC, son, Kenneth Tucker of Hackensack, NJ, one brother James L. Newman( Barbara) of Greensboro, NC ,Bonus sister, Sandra Simms, four grandsons, John Michael, Michael Anthony, Kenneth Tucker, Jr., and Forest Tucker, two granddaughters, Dominque and Jasmine, Bonus

grandkids, Mannie, Tiffanic. Taylor and Tiana, three great great grandchildren, Carter- James, Aiden and Lena. Goddaughters, Cynthia, Donise, Shelia, Tejuana and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
