Nathaniel Hughes

Nathaniel Hughes, also known as "Nate" was born to the late Paul and Clara Hughes on March 27, 1944.  He departed this life to his eternal reward on March 17, 2025.

Nate went to Laughlin High School in Summerfield, NC. He was employed and retired from Greensboro City Schools. 

Nate was a member of Collins Grove United Methodist Church in Greensboro, NC and he was a resident of Brookdale Northwest Greensboro.

Nate was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Jones and Pauline Hughes and one brother, Otis Hughes.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his four children,Jesse N. Johnson, Marlon (Debbie) G. Hughes, Natina N. Hughes, and Tony (Shonda) M. Hughes; his three sisters, Betty Jones, Linda Vanstory, and Sharon Kelly; nine grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
